America bepicting freedom and liberty tattoo

patriot-eagle-tattoo

The eagle is the emblem of America bepicting freedom and liberty.  As the lion is the king of the jungle, so the eagle is the master of the skies.  In ancient mythology, the eagle was a god of the heavens and the sun.  There are thousands of wonderful eagle tattoos and over the last decade, the eagle tattoo has also experienced a revival with larger more elaborate eagles taking to the skin of soldiers and civilians alike.

most popular tattoo styles in the united states

Though the tradition of tattooing spans throughout the world, a number of the most popular styles in the united states, would be:

Celtic tattoos:

Celtic tattooing has become by far two of the most popular designs for tattoos. From their complex crosses, knot-work, the early Celts displayed them on metal, jewelry, and weapons. Most Celtic designs are taken from Irish manuscripts. Celtic knots are two of the most popular and are usually intricate loops with no finish or beginning, which in Celtic traditions symbolizes the seldom ending cycle of death and rebirth. Zoomorphic (Celtic animal) designs are usually similar , but the lines finish in the feet, heads, and tails. Celtic tattoos have become the ideal design for people with Celtic, Irish, Scottish, or Welsh heritage. However, tackling this style can be daunting for some artists as it requires an eye for detail and uniformity.

Chinese tattoos often feature dragons and Kanji symbols. These tattoos can be seen in all social groups. Everyone from massive celebrities to your average Joe have caught the fever for these eye-catching and artistically pretty tattoos. The Chinese characters tend to aesthetically, which only increases its popularity. The meaning behind Chinese tattoos can be countless, as the client's meaning bears much more sway on them than a meaning written in a text book. Most people can identify with the strength and power of a dragon, and sometimes contribute it to alter in their lives.

Japanese Tattoos:

In transition to the Japanese style tattoos, I would like to stop for a moment and discuss Kanji tattoos. Kanjis are oriental inspired tattoos, and are by far two of the more popular walk-in tattoos. However, plenty of Kanji tattoos go regretted due to the mis-translation of meaning. Though, most kanji's on flash sheets say words beneath them you are not able to translate the symbols directly in to the English language. It is important to first do some research before getting any ones, even spur of the whim tattoos.

Once again, much like the Chinese dragons, Japanese tattoos are gaining steam in popularity. The more common tattoos would be Koi fish, as they usually help represent rebirth, and alter. Dragons, the Phoenix, tigers, and plenty of other designs are popular as well. There's plenty of artists these days that specialize in the oriental styles , of which tend to be more of an elaborate, and vibrant tattoo style.
